Would You Swallow — A Perfume Pill?
Boycott deodorant?
Swallowable parfum, hmm. I can’t seem to get over how freaked out I am looking at the commercial to decide if I would take something like this. Beauty High reported about the perfume pill developed by body architect Lucy McRae and synthetic biologist Sheref Mansy last week saying it was a “new frontier for technological advancement.” I believe this is true but so are unnecessary surgeries, botox and diet pills. All elective. I’m a firm believer beauty comes from within but is this taking it too far or is this totally awesome? Can I put in a request for a nice floral scent to be added to my birth control pill?
“Swallowable Parfume is essentially a capsule containing synthetic fragrant lipid molecules that mimic the structure of the fat molecules naturally found in the body. When those lipids get metabolized by the body’s enzymes, fragrant molecules are released and excreted through the skin’s surface through perspiration. The strength of the resulting scent is determined by the individual’s acclimatization to temperature, stress, exercise, or sexual arousal.”
It’s still in it’s research phase and says it’s “coming soon.” How soon? IDK. Hopefully, long enough for everyone to have showered and put on deodorant — then reconsider.
