BB Cream | The New Skincare Craze From Asia

An all-in-one cream to take care of your makeup and skincare needs in one step.

A super cream has hit the US market. BB cream is suppose to take care of all your skincare needs, such as, foundation, moisturizer and concealer. Get rid of acne, prevent wrinkles, protect from the sun, rejuvenate and brighten your skin all in one step. Here’s an article explaining how BB cream works.

Bobbi Brown BB Cream

The Asian secret to beautiful skin has made it’s way through Europe and is finally hitting America, the mystical product is called BB cream. An all-in-one cream which claims to take care of your makeup and skincare needs in one step. No more moisturizer + eye cream + foundation + concealer. Originally formulated for healing post laser surgery patients, the skin-regenerating properties were quickly noticed by Asian celebrities. The word quickly spread a Korean actress’ lovely complexion was due to BB cream and the rest is history.

Reading conflicting stories of origin, the product was either developed by dermatologists in Germany or South Korea. The latter being the first country to introduce a beauty cream for the mass market in 2005. From there it spread to Japan, South East Asia, Europe then FINALLY to the good ol’ US of A. Why do we always have to be the last to know?

Blemish Balm (The BB) works perfectly to regenerate highly sensitive skin while also providing good coverage for post-laser scars and redness. An amazing product, really. You’re able to determine what you would like from the cream such as, skin brightening, anti-wrinkle, aid acne prone skin, hypoallergenic, sunblock, skin-regenerating, and the list seems endless.

After I heard the news such a thing existed, I scoured the Internet for more information from skincare and makeup guru’s — which, of course, they were already onto the product. There was a common theme among them all: you have to find the one right for you. My first thought was, how?

I decided to read as many reviews and articles as I could. Finding one website in particular for great information: http://www.squidoo.com/b-b-cream. Then I finally made my decision to buy one and get samples of more. Admittedly, I haven’t even touched the samples…yet.

Bobbi Brown BB Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 35. This seemed to be their popular product including all the options I was looking for: sunblock, anti-wrinkle, brightening and formulated for acne prone skin. The hardest part after choosing what I believe to be the right BB cream, was selecting the correct shade without being able to test it. I have a medium complexion making their natural beige option seeming the best.

I’ve been wearing the Bobbi Brown BB cream for around a month and I love it. On the first use I noticed my skin soaked it in leaving an even application. It felt thick at first but adjusted making my skin appear dewy. Overall, this product seems to have improved skin tone, wrinkles have diminished, acne has cleared up and I feel like I have more clarity in my skin. Another fantastic discovery is it lasts all day, where as other foundations have faded by lunch time.

Recommending Bobbi Brown’s BB Cream is easy, give it a go. Not only taking care of most of your skin care needs, the price tag is easy on the eyes — around $42.
